AC Czechia
American Councils Czechia opened in the fall of 2018, at a time when the Czech Republic and the United States held centennial celebrations of their diplomatic relations. The office is based in Prague, the country's picturesque and vibrant capital.

FLEX 2024–25 Competition
Thank you for FLEX applications for the next academic year. Students interested in the program were in for a change this recruitment season. We opened the FLEX application on August 1. The deadline was also earlier, or on September 28. The semi-final round in Prague and Brno took place in November and we are looking forward to the results.
FLEX 2023–24
The independent US selection committee was in a rush last year. American Councils’ Prague office learned the names of the current FLEX finalists as early as in March. The first group boarded a plane en route to their American adventure in mid-August. Several students impatiently waited for their host family and school placement until the end of the summer and took off for FLEX in early September.

The current finalists are exploring the USA in the states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Texas, and Virginia.
FLEX 2022–23
In June 2023, we welcomed the program’s 13 latest alumni at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport. Coincidentally, the students shared a Frankfurt-Prague flight with US Ambassador Bijan Sabet. In July, several new alumni met at a re-entry seminar where they learned about alumni program activities.
