FLEX 2026–27 Competition
FLEX is excited to welcome the 2025–26 finalists from the Czech Republic in the US in August. Unfortunately, due to resource constrains, there will not be any recruitment in Czechia in 2025 for the 2026–27 program year.
FLEX 2025–26
In February, we picked up the phone and delivered great news to 15 Czech finalists for the 2025–26 academic year. The students from across the country prepared for their exchange year at a pre-departure orientation in Křtiny, Czech Republic, together with their peers from Hungary and Slovakia.
They will board their overseas flight in August and explore the US in the states of Alabama, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.

FLEX 2024–25
In June 2025, we welcomed the program’s latest alumni at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport. If interested, they can share their post-FLEX adaptation stories and learn about alumni activities at a so-called re-entry seminar in July.

Celebration spree in 2024
The year 2024 was marked by celebrations. In June 2024, we gathered with the alumni community for a Czech celebration of the 30th FLEX anniversary at Prague’s American Center and the US Ambassador’s spectacular residence. In December, we returned to the residence to toast the 50th anniversary of the American Councils for International Education, the organization in charge of the program.
